Patrick Hayes, Director of Athletics, Health & Physical Education

Welcome to the Athletic Department of the 人兽性交, home to the 人兽性交Clippers.

Interscholastic athletics are an integral part of the educational process of the South Country School District. Athletics is an enriching experience that allows the student athlete to explore the physical and mental excellence within themselves. The South Country's School District’s goal is to develop a competitive athletic program without losing sight of educational values such as sportsmanship, health and scholastic attainment.

The South Country School District has a high participation rate in a well-rounded program of individual and team sports. 人兽性交athletics offers sports that include varsity, junior varsity and modified programs for students in grades seven through twelve. Our teams and student-athletes have distinguished themselves with winning records and championships in the Section XI, and New York State competitions and nationally recognized. Many teams have been recognized for their combined grade-point average through the NYSPHSAA team Scholar-Athlete program. We are proud of our accomplishments and invite you to take a moment to explore our website.

We wish all our teams a safe and healthy season. #ClipperPride

人兽性交High School senior athlete Brynn Johnsen is the winner of the News 12 Scholar Athlete award. thumbnail256075

For her hard work and dedication both on and off the field and court, 人兽性交High School senior Brynn Johnsen has been distinguished with the News 12 Scholar Athlete award.

The senior was featured on News 12 and received a $1,000 scholarship from Bethpage Federal Credit Union.

“I am honored to receive this award,” said Johnsen. “I want to thank my mentors — specifically my teachers, coaches and our athletic trainer, Gina — for constantly pushing me outside of my comfort zone to be a better student-athlete.”

Johnsen also thanked her family for instilling the importance of being a team player from a young age. “I think of my family as a team and we all work together and support each other,” she said. “If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be the person or team player I am today.” She added, “I feel so grateful to be surrounded by such a supportive family and such amazing teachers and coaches. They really are true leaders. We have a special, tight-knit community here at 人兽性交and I’m proud to represent it.”

Johnsen captains both the varsity lacrosse and basketball teams. She helped lead her basketball team to the county finals this past season and reached a milestone of 1,000 points in her high school basketball career.

With a goal to study athletic training in college in the fall, Johnsen has trained with her school’s athletic trainer and through the Stony Brook University sports medicine mentorship program.

Apart from the field and court, Johnsen serves as president of the student council and Athletes Helping Athletes Club and is a student representative on the Board of Education. She is also a member of the National, Math and Science honor societies and the Outdoor Club. Outside of school, she is an ocean lifeguard.

The 人兽性交 congratulates Brynn Johnsen on her impressive accomplishments.
